Derrick’s path to financial planning started in his senior year of high school — a Dave Ramsey personal finance course sparked something he couldn’t shake. He went on to study financial planning at Missouri State University, earning his B.S. in Finance with an emphasis in financial planning. He passed the CFP® exam shortly after graduating and has now been a Certified Financial Planner™ for 12 years.
What drives Derrick isn’t the portfolio — it’s the puzzle. He finds deep satisfaction in helping clients organize their financial lives: minimizing taxes, structuring assets to pass wealth efficiently, and closing the insurance gaps that leave families exposed.
Away from the office, Derrick is a husband of 10 years to Christina and dad to Hunter, Owen, and Adelyn. He commutes from Jefferson City to the Lake most days — and he’ll tell you it’s worth every mile.

Adam Maher
Adam’s road to financial planning was anything but straight — and that’s precisely what makes him effective. He grew up an Army kid, relocated to the Lake for his senior year at Camdenton, played football at Missouri Valley College, then took his career to Germany to play American football professionally.
Over the past decade, Adam has built a practice grounded in the same skills that made him a good coach — listening, strategizing, and helping people commit to a long-term plan even when short-term noise makes it hard.
Adam is married to Shelby and they have a daughter, Rowan. You’ll find him on the water, traveling, or in a cabin on the White River in the Arkansas Ozarks — his personal favorite retreat.
